Trail Characteristics
The first half-mile of the trail is wide, packed, and probably accessible with a wheelchair
The trail is coated with a sandy surface about ¼” deep
There are sometimes rocks
and bushes in the trail that can be easily circumvented
The trail traverses small washes that have a sandy surface for a short distance
At mile 0.5, there is a rustic
staircase that is an obstacle to
hikers with wheelcharirs
After the first mile of the hike,
the trail gets rocky and rises steeply
to a ridgetop
A hiker enjoys the flat trail and views along the first half-mile of the trail
The first half-mile of the trail traverses a desert ecosystem with a mountain view behind
The second half-mile of the
trail is still flat and wide,
but is more rocky
